Introduction to Communications Workshop

Introduction to communication skills, covers: verbal skills; including paralanguage, active listening and counselling skills. Non verbal communications; including body language and presentation

Communications Workshop

Covers in greater depth communication skills including: verbal skills including paralanguage, cultural awareness; active listening and counselling skills. Non verbal communications, including body language and presentation

Disability Awareness

Raise awareness of Disability Legislation; provide knowledge on common disabling conditions and practical skills to support disabled people and meet your obligations under The Disability Discrimination Act

Managing Challenging Behaviour

Raise awareness of the risks in the workplace and provide skills to divert aggression and recognise escalation

Methods of student assessment

Covers various methods of assessment including

Formative, Summative, Continuous Assessment, Question and Answer, Multiple Choice, assessing psychomotor skills

Student support and tutorials

Supporting students whilst in the classroom or on placement, communication skills and interview techniques
