Mission Statement

To provide Teaching and Training using a variety of teaching methods to exceed the needs of our demanding clients.

All courses are designed by qualified teachers with relevant professional subject experience, and the curriculum is specified to meet the needs of regulatory bodies, including the Food standards Agency, The Pre-School Learning Alliance; The Health and Safety Executive; The Commission for Social Care Inspection. Training is delivered in a friendly yet professional way; designed to put students at ease while ensuring that learning takes place.

Our Flagship Courses

Appointed Person Basic First Aid Certificate

Athena Training UK has a limited number of vacancies for Appointed Person Basic First Aid training on current courses and the ability to offer tremendous savings on courses run on your premises on days to suit (subject to availability). Courses are designed to meet current H.S.E. requirements; and are delivered in a friendly, yet professional way.

Courses may also be booked and run at your convenience, in your premises, for up to twelve people

Food Hygiene for Care Assistants

This short examination based course is designed to meet the needs of the Care Assistant and follows the guidelines and principles set down by the Food Standards Agency

Courses may be run on your premises for up to fifteen people

Essentials of First Aid 

This course is a step from the Appointed Persons course, but not quite a full First Aid at Work. It is ideal for pubs, clubs, charities and those who want to learn more with out the expense of a full F.A.W. course. This course also covers:

Epilepsy

Difficulty in breathing and chest injuries

Fractures - recognition and management

Burns and scalds

Diabetes & Asthma

This exceptional 12 hour course can be taught in a variety of ways to suit all training and operational needs on your premises; including: weekend courses, day release, (i.e. consecutive Fridays), or modular over six two hour sessions.

NB please note, this is not First Aid at Work. Your Risk Assessment will highlight your first aid requirements under Health and Safety Legislation.
